What to do when that makeup you love has been discontinued!

As a makeup artist, I have specific favorites that cannot be replaced. Unfortunately, cosmetic companies don’t take this into consideration when pulling that lipstick or eye-shadow out of their line to be replaced with their new pallet for marketing purposes. I’ve wasted more time and money on trying to replace these items only to be frustrated and disappointed. The best solution I’ve found is “Three Custom Color Specialists” who will take your sample to the lab and duplicate the color and texture of your product. Hope this is helpful!

Facts about Permanent Facial Injections

If you have been considering receiving permanent facial injections; think again, as I have worked with several clients who wished they hadn’t. You may assume that you’ll be saving money and won’t have to visit the doctor every six months. Please believe me that you are in for a rude awakening. The fact of the matter is that as the face loses its elasticity and begins to sag those permanent injections don’t continue to fill out the designated areas. They will create lumps and distortion and worst of all cannot be removed without creating scars.

Working With Your Foundation

I realize that what I’m about to suggest may be obvious; however, a recent client complained to me about a new foundation she recently purchased and that it appeared too heavy. I suggested she mix it with her moisturizer and perhaps a bit of sunblock. Needless to say that it is perfectly fine to mix a few colors to achieve that perfect match, especially during the summer when you may need to match your face to your neck, etc.

My Favorite Face Mask

A mask made from egg yolks and seven drops of almond oil kept on your face for twenty minutes works as well or better than any expensive store bought mask. While cleaning and and softening your skin, it is simple and inexpensive to make. I would recommend using it every two to three weeks. I discovered this  formula many years ago while modeling in Paris and have never found a mask that has worked better for me. Enjoy!
